DIY Laundry Soap

Laundry soap and fabric softener

Ingredients:

4 Bars of Fels Naptha Soap

1 -65-ounce box of 20 Mule Team Borax

1- 55-ounce box of Arm and Hammer

Laundry Booster Super Washing Soda

4 pounds of Arm and Hammer Baking Soda

9 cups of Oxi Clean

You can add essential oils if you like.

I don’t because I like mine fragrance free.

I get my ingredients from either

Farm and Fleet or Costco. Links below.

You can get them anywhere.

Directions:

First grate the soap. I use my KitchenAid (the power tool of the kitchen), with the slicer and shredder attachment. You can also use a cheese grater and grate it by hand.

(Life Pro Tip: if you break the handle off your KitchenAid, you can replace it with an old cork.)

Then mix all the ingredients together. I mix mine in a six-gallon bucket Eric got at the home brew store.    I store mine in an animal food storage container from Farm and Fleet. You can use whatever you want.

We use white vinegar instead of fabric softener or dryer sheets. It leaves our clothes soft without any smell. I put it in the fabric softener place in my washer. I use about a half cup per load.

Use about a cup of the soap per large l
